OD Enrollment Requirements
Optometrists
Optometrists must have graduated from a college of optometry and completed advanced training in contact lens and cornea disease through a formal residency. If a residency was not completed, optometrists must have an additional qualification including Diplomate, Cornea, Contact Lens and Refractive Technologies Section of AAO, Fellow, Scleral Lens Education Society (FSLS), or have at least two publications related to keratoconus and/or cornea and contact lenses.
